Voices linger in the background. We see the concealed truth of the Plaintiff with well-groomed dressing, nervy hands, and calm posture. The silence in the court room is deafening. The question protracting on everyone’s head is – were we wrong in the first place?

The faces of the court was priceless. Who knew the defendant contrived such an infallible action? The disbelief in the eyes of Director, Peter Mino (not real name) was in deep disgrace. How could he have known that his glorified employee was a launderer?

Lawrence (not real name) had an impeccable appearance that drove attention when he walked in any given gathering. He sprung with infinite deal of reverence by his colleagues. He was a vibrant worker and brought Hosteen Group of Companies in the lime light. Prior to his employment Hosteen was a true picture of a botched company.

He was so noble at his work that he was given a seat to the company’s board meetings. His objective was always forward vision with embracing on current trends and scrapping off the past. He continuously had a way of convincing the panel in undertaking new strategies to propel the company forward. His proposals were immaculately structured and affirmed his argument seamlessly.

He was flawless at covering his tracks. By presenting current trends he would use that as an avenue to bury his undertakings of laundry. He did it so well that audit firms couldn’t find nor detect any devious actions against the company. He was adamant to his work that he took only short leaves and declined others.

Not until there was a global financial crisis that Hosteen decided to hire a new MD (Managing Director). He began to question that not all new trends is valuable and that the company could add to its current profit margins if some aren’t adopted.

With these the cracks began to show up. Lawrence there celebrated employee undertaking began to be questioned.
